• Bring a voice to the table at ASAP, reporting on important issues in the communities in a way that is productive and facilitates the work in the Strategic Focus Areas.
• Help communities improve their capacity to identify emerging trends, as well as take action and report them to the proper institutions.
• Take the data that is available through the Epidemiology Work Group and ASAP back to coalitions and communities to effectively target prevention, treatment and enforcement activities.
• Serve as a resource for communities and the state to identify the most effective ways of impacting substance abuse by working collaboratively and targeting limited resources where they are most needed.
• Elevate the important work being carried out at the community level to be recognized at the state level.
