| |
The Division for Substance Abuse Policy (DSAP) works to improve and expand the delivery of substance abuse prevention, treatment, and recovery-support services throughout the state by working with multiple state agencies and organizations. DSAP actively works with professionals in the prevention, treatment/recovery and law enforcement fields to increase awareness, improve coordination, identify and address gaps in efforts, and ensure efficiency and effective spending related to substance abuse. DSAP conducts the administrative and professional duties for the Arizona Parents Commission on Drug Education and Prevention, which provides funding for substance abuse prevention programs and initiatives throughout the state. The Division also staffs the Arizona Substance Abuse Partnership (ASAP) and its subcommittees and administers the Access to Recovery (ATR) and Statewide Epidemiological Outcomes Workgroup (SEOW) grants. |
