The Division for Substance Abuse Policy works to improve and expand the delivery of substance abuse education, prevention and treatment services throughout the state by working with multiple state agencies and organizations.
The Division oversees the distribution of state money allocated to the Arizona Parents Commission, which is funded from the Drug Treatment and Education Fund. It also administers the Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPFSIG) and Co-Occuring Disorder State Incentive Grant (COSIG). The Division staffs the Arizona Parents Commission on Drug Education and Prevention, the Strategic Preventions Framework Advisory Council and the Prisoner Reentry Task Force. The Division also staffs the Arizona Substance Abuse Partnership.
