Division for Substance Abuse Policy

The Division for Substance Abuse Policy (DSAP) works to improve and expand the delivery of substance abuse education, prevention and treatment services throughout the state by working with multiple state agencies and organizations. DSAP actively works with prevention, treatment and law enforcement fields to improve coordination, identify and address gaps and ensure efficiency and effective spending related to substance abuse.

The Division conducts the administrative and professional duties for the Arizona Parents Commission on Drug Education and Prevention, overseeing the distribution of Drug Treatment and Education Funds and administering substance abuse prevention programs and initiatives.  The Division also staffs the Arizona Substance Abuse Partnership and its subcommittees.
In addition, the Division for Substance Abuse Policy administers the Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPFSIG), Co-Occurring Disorder State Incentive Grant (COSIG) and Access to Recovery Grant (ATR).
