| Open Grant Opportunities |
The Governor's Office for Children, Youth and Families (GOCYF) has a responsibility for distributing approximately $20M in state and federal funds each year. Public and private sector organizations that address one or more of the issues identified by GOCYF can apply for these funds. Grants are then awarded through a formal application process.

The Governor’s Children’s Justice Act Grant: RFGA: CJ-CSG-09-9273-00 |

The Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) provides grants to the States for the purpose of assisting States in developing, establishing, and operating programs designed to improve (1) the handling of child abuse and neglect cases, particularly cases of child sexual abuse and exploitation, in a manner which limits additional trauma to the child victim; (2) the handling of cases of suspected child abuse or neglect related fatalities; and (3) the investigation and prosecution of cases of child abuse and neglect, particularly child sexual abuse and exploitation. |

AmeriCorps is a national service program that provides opportunities for participants, called members, to serve communities and build the capacity of organizations to meet local needs. Additional information may be obtained at www.americorps.org. AmeriCorps*State programs are awarded by the Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism (Commission) with funds from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), a federal agency. |

The Governor’s STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant: RFGA: ST-WSG-09-9365-00 |
| |
The STOP Violence Against Women Grant Program provides assistance to States, tribal governments and courts, State and local courts, and local governmental entities to develop and strengthen effective law enforcement and prosecution strategies to prevent, identify, and respond to violent crimes against women. This program supports the development, implementation, and enhancement of victim services programs in cases involving violent crimes against women. |
