| Governor’s Foundation Roundtable |
| |
Building public/private partnerships has been a priority for GOCYF as we work to leverage existing philanthropic and governmental assets, maximize collective resources and deliver better programs and services. In an effort to foster the relationship between government and philanthropy, the Foundation Roundtable meets twice each year to provide a forum to discuss policy issues that impact both the state and private philanthropy.
Past meetings focused on the Governor's P-20 education agenda, which considers education as one continuum beginning in preschool and extending, in many cases, to college and beyond - establishing education as a lifelong effort to learn new technologies and to stay relevant in the work place. Other topics have included the state's response to Hurricane Katrina and the lessons learned that can make systems more responsive to Arizonans who are homeless on living in poverty.
Members of the Foundation Roundtable represent private foundations, family foundations and corporate philanthropy. |
