   Spotlight Reports

Quarterly Spotlight Reports illustrate critical issues and emerging trends by providing data and information specific to Arizona that is compared to trends seen across the nation. Within each report, common myths are addressed, the reasons we are experiencing such a trend are examined and specific measures that can be taken to address the issues are outlined. Data for these reports come from state agencies as well as from the results of focus groups and surveys of practitioners and others serving critical populations.

   Arizona Sexual Assault Forensic Exam FAQ

The reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA 2005) requires that each state address a new certification concerning sexual assault forensic exams (SAFE) by January 5, 2009.  This FAQ details the certification requirements for the STOP Violence Against Women Formula grant (STOP) and how it intersects with Arizona law. 

   Earned Income Task Force - 2009 Report

The EITC Task Force works to provide statewide leadership in promoting and implementing the earned income tax credit, a refundable tax credit for low-income workers. This report highlights 2008 achievements and success statistics.
