Children
   Arizona Juvenile Justice Commission

As the supervisory entity responsible for the state’s compliance with the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act, the State Advisory Board to the Juvenile Accountability Block Grant program, and the State Multidisciplinary Task Force on Children’s Justice, the Arizona Juvenile Justice Commission works to develop effective responses to the problems of juvenile delinquency and child abuse.

 
Community and Youth Development
   Arizona Governor's Commission on Service & Volunteerism

Created to fund and implement AmeriCorps programs and to serve as the policy-making commission on all volunteer and national service initiatives and activities.

   Arizona Governor's Youth Commission

Comprised of Arizona high school students uniting to act as a liaison between GOCYF and the youth of the state, to promote healthier communities through youth volunteerism and service learning, increased awareness of community issues and civic participation.

 
Substance Abuse Policy
   Arizona’s Parents Commission on Drug Education & Prevention

The Arizona Parents Commission on Drug Education and Prevention, also known as the Parents Commission, was created by voter initiative in 1996 and established by A.R.S. §41-1604.17.  The Parents Commission funds programs that increase and enhance parental involvement, and increase education about the serious risks and public health problems caused by the abuse of alcohol and controlled substances.

   Arizona Substance Abuse Partnership

The Arizona Substance Abuse Partnership (ASAP) serves as the single statewide council on substance abuse issues. Created by Executive Order 2007-12 and chaired by the Governor’s Deputy Policy Director, ASAP brings together the prevention, treatment, recovery and law enforcement fields to improve coordination, identify and address gaps in services, and ensure efficiency and effective spending.  There are four sub-committees of the Arizona Substance Abuse Partnership:
Bullet Arizona Underage Drinking Committee
Bullet Community Advisory Board
Bullet Methamphetamine Task Force
Bullet Substance Abuse Epidemiology Work Group

 
Women
   Commission to Prevent Violence Against Women

Tasked with developing legislative and policy recommendations on violence against women, as well as expanding on successful prevention initiatives and coordinating and expanding services for victims of domestic and sexual violence.
