AmeriCorps Events

 
Arizona’s Annual National and Community Service Conference
  An annual conference designed to promote national and community service through workshops, service projects and fun activities. The Governor’s Office for Children, Youth and Families, Division for Community and Youth Development in collaboration with the Corporation for National and Community Service (federal funding agency) annually convene the Governor’s National and Community Service Conference. The conference hosts 300 participants from all facets of national service in Arizona, including but not limited to, AmeriCorps National and State, VISTA, Tribal and Senior Corps programs. In addition, the conference is used as a vehicle through which quarterly meetings are convened, including the Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism and Governor’s Youth Commission.
 
AmeriCorps Week
AmeriCorps Week provides an opportunity for AmeriCorps members, alums, grantees, program partners and friends to shine a spotlight on the work accomplished by members across the country – and to motivate more Americans to join AmeriCorps or to volunteer in heir communities.
 
National and State Days of Service
  State and national Days of Service offer opportunities for people to volunteer their time and talents to service projects and activities throughout the year.
 
National Service Day at the Legislature
  National Service Day at the Legislature provides Arizona’s national service programs with the opportunity to meet and educate their legislators, network with other national service programs and tour the Arizona State Capitol Complex.
 
Regional Service and Volunteerism Forums
The Regional Forums will provide the opportunity for Arizona’s national service programs with the opportunity to meet other national service programs in their regions, network with other community based organizations in the area, and educate/connect with your local elected officials. Additionally participants will have the opportunity to have a voice and impact the future directions of national service in Arizona.
